The Georgia Southwestern State University Athletics Department staff and student-athletes are committed to serving as youth mentors and contributing community partners though our work off the field and outside the classroom. Activities such as our seven-county-wide reading program --- reaching approximately 6,000 kids, retirement home bingo and cooking dinner for the local firefighters were ways we were able to give something back to the community over the last year. By providing opportunities for student-athletes to serve, our young men and women make meaningful contributions to society. Teams, as well as individual student-athletes, are involved in numerous charity, community organization, school and hospital activities. Below are photo galleries from a few of the events where GSW student-athletes provided "a Hurricane Helping Hand."
