AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Canes 360 organization, in support of Georgia Southwestern State University Athletics, invites the public to its annual Hurricanes Season Kickoff on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 6 p.m. inside the Storm Dome on the GSW campus.

The Kickoff will serve as a recruiting event for potential Canes 360 members. In addition, attendees can enjoy a meet and greet with GSW coaches and student-athletes, a visit from the GSW mascot Surge, activities for the kids, giveaways, complimentary drinks and traditional tailgate fare. Parents can sign up their kids for the all-new Surge's Squad Kids Club with free t-shirts available for new members.   

Canes 360 is a group of people dedicated to the rapid turnaround of resources available to the Georgia Southwestern Athletics program. A $360 per year contribution for five years, which can be broken down into installments of $30 a month, will be used to enhance capital improvements. The next building project, the indoor baseball and softball practice facility, broke ground in March and benefited from the financial commitment of Canes 360 members. Contributions to Canes 360 help elevate the student-athlete experience, will help coaches with recruiting and ultimately lead to a championship level of play in which we can all take pride and enjoy watching.
