Norrman and Earley Named Top Performers in October

AMERICUS, Ga. -- Men's golfer Vincent Norrman and women's cross country runner Sarah Earley have been named the Georgia Southwestern State University Department of Athletics top performers for the month of October.

Norrman, a senior from Stockholm, Sweden, turned in a historic month as he won two of the three tournaments GSW competed in, was named the Peach Belt Conference Golfer of the Week twice and completed the fall season as the top-ranked golfer in NCAA Division II according to Golfstat. Norrman leads the Peach Belt with a 69.1 scoring average. His round of 64 (-8) on Oct. 8 is the lowest score posted in the conference this season.  

Earley, a freshman from Defuniak Springs, Fla., helped lead the Lady Hurricanes to their best finish at the Peach Belt Conference Championship in program history. Her time of 21:21 was a personal record by 18 seconds as she finished the 5K course second for GSW and 49th out of 105 overall.
