Burris, Reynolds receive tourney honors

Georgia Southwestern women’s basketball players Brandi Burris and Brittany Reynolds were named to the All-Sleep Inn Classic team on Monday afternoon.

Hall of Fame gets a new look

The GSW Hurricane Hall of Fame display recently received a facelift. Fans can now enjoy viewing some of the history of the department, those honored and accolades preserved, from one location.

Lady 'Canes drop second straight

Career nights from seniors Brandi Burris and Brittany Reynolds were not enough as Georgia Southwestern dropped its second game in as many nights, 81-72 to Florida Southern College on Saturday at the Sleep Inn Classic at Saint Leo.

Whitney Dean, Women's Basketball (2006-2008)

Whitney played two seasons in the post for the Lady Hurricanes basketball team. She played in 47 games over her career and pulled down 57 rebounds. Whitney’s best game for GSW came during her senior year at North Georgia when she scored eight points and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds. She also led the team in rebounds and assists against Columbus State earlier that season. Whitney currently teaches 8th grade honors science and math at Perry Middle School in Perry, GA and will be coaching the 7th grade girls basketball team this year along with helping the varsity girls basketball team at Perry High School.
