Bryan McLain is entering his fifth season as head coach and his 13th overall with the baseball program at Georgia Southwestern. He is coming off a 17-34 season in 2008, which saw his Hurricanes finish ninth in the Peach Belt Conference in their second season of NCAA Division II competition.
McLain has compiled an overall record of 92-111 in his four years at GSW, highlighted by being named Georgia Dugout Club's NAIA Coach of the Year in 2005. Under McLain's leadership the Hurricanes have advanced to two NAIA regional tournaments and produced several Academic and All-Conference players, as well as two Honorable Mention All-Americans.
Prior to taking over the helm of the Canes, McLain spent nine seasons as an assistant coach. During that time he served as the hitting and outfield coach, as well as recruiting coordinator for Bill Haywood. For four seasons under Barry Davis, McLain took over the pitching staff and developed it into one of the best staffs in NAIA baseball. The Hurricanes had two pitchers earn first team All-Region honors with one being named NAIA National Player of the Year. As an assistant, McLain was a part of three regional appearances and three conference championships.
Bryan also has a wealth of playing experience. He was an All-American outfielder at the University of West Georgia and played one year in the Frontier League (Independent) in 1993. He played his first two collegiate seasons at South Georgia College after graduating from Tift County High School.
Bryan and his wife, Carmen, are the proud parents of twin daughters, Bailey and Carley.

He was a 2004 ABCA first team All-American and the Gulf South Conference East Division player of the year. He set numerous school records that season including: a .436 batting average, 32 doubles, 172 total bases, 46 extra base hits and a 31 game hitting streak. The 32 doubles is also a national D2 record.
Prior to playing for the Blazers, Morgan was a first team All-Region and All-Conference selection at South Georgia College in 2002 and 2003 while posting a team-high batting average both seasons.
He played professionally for the Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League (Independent).
