Hurricanes Allow 16 Free Throws In Loss to Columbus State

AMERICUS, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern State University senior guard Devon Higgs had one of his best games of the season in a losing effort as Columbus State defeated GSW, 74-55, in the Strom Dome Wednesday night.

Devon Higgs tied his best scoring output of the season with 18 points behind nine rebounds. Higgs was one of three players who scored in double digits, joining Reggie Raynor and Jordan Johnson.

Georgia Southwestern dropped to 9-9 on the season and 2-7 in Peach Belt Conference play.

Georgia Southwestern will stay home as they take on Young Harris College (14-4, 5-4 PBC) for the first half of their two-game season series. The Hurricanes lost the last game against Young Harris and hope to win at The Storm Dome. The teams will tip off 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
