Britt earns All-Invite, 'Canes finish fourth

Despite an All-Invitational performance  by senior Jorday Britt, the Georgia Southwestern golf team finished in last place at the four-team UWG Invitational hosted by the Unviversity of West Georgia that wrapped up Tuesday in Villa Rica.

Britt finished the 36-hole tournament tied for 5th place with a one-under-par 141 total to lead the 'Canes. Britt shaved nearly eight strokes off his season average each round to earn his first top ten finish of the year. The first round 70 was his season-low round.

Tyler Williams finished in 11th place and was five strokes off of Britt's pace with a four-over-par 146 total. Adam McKenney (147) and Christopher Hall (152) completed the Hurricanes scoring.

Southwestern (586) finished 29 strokes behind West Georgia (557), who won the team title.

Nelson Alvarez from West Georgia won individual medalist honors with a two-day total of 135 (69-66).

Southwestern returns to action on April 4-5 at the ABAC Invitational in Cordele.
