Middle Of The Pack At Indian Bayou

DESTIN, Fla. - The 25st-ranked Georgia Southwestern men's golf team shot a 12-over-par 300 on Monday at the Indian Bayou Classic to finish the opening round in fifth place out of 10 teams.

Nate Gahman led the Hurricanes with a 1-over-par 73 at the 7,078-yard Indian Bayou Golf Club. Gahman is tied for eighth overall in the 60-player field.

J.P. Griffin fired a 74 and sits tied for 18th while Anders Olson (76) and Matthew Whittaker (77) finshed the day tied for 25th and 30th, respectively.

No. 4 North Alabama holds a three-stroke advantage over No. 19 Columbus State in the team standings after carding a 293.

Ricky Stimets and Matt Stephens from North Alabama lead on the individual side with a 3-under-par.
