COLUMBUS, Ga.- The Georgia Southwestern men's golf team moved up two spots and finished in a three way tie for tenth at the AFLAC/Cougar Invitational that concluded on Tuesday.
The Hurricanes posted a three-round team score 876 on the 71-par, 6515-yard course at the Country Club of Columbus to tie with Wingate and West Georgia.
No. 13 North Alabama moved up one spot from Monday to win the 14-team tournament with a seven-under, three-round 845. Lander finished four strokes behind the leaders and No. 12 Lee took third with a three-round 855.
Nicholas Ward finished tied for 16th with a three-round 214.
Freshman Alex Wells shot a tournament low, three-under 68 in Round 3 to move up 26 spots and finish tied for 38th with a three-round 221.
Ethan Chamineak also fished tied for 38th with teammate Wells.
Nix Duncan, who played as an individual, posted a tournament low 71 in Round 3 to move up ten spots and finish tied for 54th.
Fraser Johnston finished tied for 57th with a three-round 225 and Tyler Barker finished one stroke behind Johnston to finish tied for 60th.
The Hurricanes are back in action Monday and Tuesday for the Division II National Championship Preview at Reunion Resort in Nicklaus Course in Kissimmee, Fla.
