ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.- Tyler Barker fired a 74 in Round 2 at the Peach Belt Conference Championship to move up nine spots and lead the Georgia Southwestern men's golf team on Saturday.
The Hurricanes posted a 305 in Round 2 on the par 72, 6,939-yard World Golf Village Slammer & The Squire Course to drop three spots.
GSW is now in seventh after two rounds with a 598 and are 11 strokes behind third place Georgia College. USC Aiken is second with a two-round 584 and Lander posted back-to-back 290's to sit in first.
Nicholas Ward and Vincent Norrman both posted 76s in Round 2. Ward is tied for 17th with a two-round 148 and Norrman is tied for 26th with a 150. Barker is one stroke behind Norrman and is tied for 31st. Ethan Chamineak is tied for 34th with a two-round 152 and Alex Wells is tied for 40th with a 154.
The Hurricanes are back on the links Sunday for the final round starting with Wells at 10:34 a.m., Chamineak 10:42 a.m., Barker at 10:50 a.m., Norrman 10:58 a.m. and Ward 11:06 a.m.
