VALDOSTA, Ga. -- Strong winds and colder temperatures led to higher scores across the board Monday in Round 2 at the 18-team Southeastern Collegiate played at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club. GSW struggled on the way to turning in a 317 as a team, 27 shots higher than the Hurricanes Round 1 score on the 7,363 yard Par 72 course.

GSW fell five spots to 15th place heading into the final day Tuesday, one spot ahead of 10th-ranked Lee University.   

No. 3 Newberry College turned in a 4-over par 292 to move up three spots into a tie with No. 1 West Florida at 1-under for the tournament. No. 4 Lynn was the only team under par Monday with a 2-under 286 to jump 10 spots into third place, five shots behind the co-leaders.  

Ryan Cahill continues to lead GSW after shooting a 7-over par 79 that puts him in a tie for 29th on the individual leaderboard. West Florida's Chandler Blanchet still leads at 8-under after firing an even par 72 Monday. Florida Southern's John VanDerLaan is second at 6-under and Carlos Leandro of Newberry is third at 4-under par. 

Vincent Norrman shot a 6-over par 78 for the Hurricanes, while Wil Hernandez and Tyler Barker both turned in 8-over par rounds of 80. Nix Duncan rounded out the GSW scoring with a 13-over par 85.  

Up Next: The tournament concludes Tuesday morning with GSW scheduled to tee off beginning at 10:15 a.m.
