GREENWOOD, S.C. -- The Georgia Southwestern State University men's golf team shot a 288 in Round 3 Tuesday to move up two spots and take third place at the 18-team Bearcat Invitational played at Greenwood Country Club. 

The Hurricanes moved past Lenoir-Rhyne and Belmont Abbey on the Par 72 6,800 yard course to record their third top-5 finish of the season. Young Harris took home the championship with a three-round score of 850 (-14) while No. 16 Lincoln Memorial finished at 867 (+3). GSW came in at 870 (+6) as Belmont Abbey posted an 871 (+7) to take fourth. No. 12 Columbus State rounded out the top with a 872 (+8).

Vincent Norrman fired a 4-under par 68 in the final round to post a three-round 213 and tie for eighth place on the individual leaderboard, the fifth time he has recorded a top-10 finish. After back-to-back even par rounds Monday Tyler Barker shot a 1-under 71 to post a 215 and tie for 13th place.  

Ryan Cahill carded a 75 (223) to tie for 38th place while Wil Hernandez turned in a 78 (224) that put him in a tie for 44th. Nix Duncan shot a 74 (225) to tie for 49th place in the final standings.      

Valter Andersson of Young Harris took home individual medalist honors at 209 (-7) after shooting a 4-under par 68 Tuesday. Lincoln Memorial's Harry Boyle finished second at 210 (-6) while Nick Stafford (Belmont Abbey) and Dawson Walker (Lenoir-Rhyne) shared third place with a 211 (-5).    

Up Next: GSW has a week off before competing at the Peach Belt Conference Championship April 13-15 in St. Augustine, Fla., at the Slammer & The Squire Course.
