Norrman Named PBC First Team All-Conference

St. Augustine, Fla. -- Georgia Southwestern State University sophomore golfer Vincent Norrman has been named First Team All-Conference as announced by the Peach Belt Thursday.

Norrman leads the Hurricanes with a 71.61 stroke average this season and took medalist honors at the Hurricane Invitational in February while recording four Top 5 finishes this fall/spring. He was named the PBC Golfer of the Week on March 1 after winning the Hurricane Invitational at 10-under par.

Axel Ostensson (USC Aiken), Conor Richards (Lander), Gideon van der Vyver (Columbus State) and Johnson Holliday (USC Aiken) join Norrman on the PBC First Team. Ostensson and Richards were named PBC co-Players of The Year.

Norrman broke the GSW 18-hole scoring record of 65 previously shared by Craig Gibson and Michael Harris with a Round 1 score of 64 (-8) at the Hurricane Invitational.

He followed that up by breaking the 36-hole scoring record of 136 the next day that was previously held by Adam McKenny, shooting a two-round score of 134 (-10).

Norrman becomes the fifth Hurricane golfer to be named First Team All-Conference in the GSW Division II era. Ethan Chamineak (2016-17) and Craig Gibson (2010, 2012) were both two-time honorees while JP Griffin and Nate Gahman were the only teammates to be named First Team All-Conference in 2013.
