Norrman Gets Second PBC Golfer Of The Week Award

AMERICUS, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern State University junior golfer Vincent Norrman has been named Peach Belt Conference Men's Golfer of the Week as announced by the league Thursday.

Norrman fired three rounds at or under par to finish in third place at the loaded Copperhead Championship in Florida. The junior from Stockholm, Sweden, takes his second weekly award this fall and third of his career after rounds of 67, 68 and 71 to finish 7-under on the par 71 course. His efforts helped the Hurricanes to a fifth-place finish of 16 teams, coming in ahead of eight nationally-ranked teams. Norrman is currently second in the PBC with a 70.00 stroke average for the season with seven of his nine rounds played at or under par. The Copperhead Championship is his second top five in three events this season.

At the Copperhead Championship, Norrman's 206 (-7) topped his previous 54-hole scoring record of 207 (-6) that he first broke at the Cougar Invitational earlier this season. Norrman is the third Hurricane to earn atleast three PBC Golfer of the Week awards during his career.
