Stan came to Southwestern Golf Links and GSW in June 2006 from Meadow Links Golf Course in Ft. Gaines, GA, where he had been the Head Golf Professional/ Golf Course Manager since March, 1997. He also served as the Men's Golf Coach at Andrew College in Cuthbert, GA during this time. At Andrew, he was the NJCAA Division II, Conference XVII, Coach of the Year on three different occasions.

Since turning professional in 1986, Stan has served as Head Golf Professional at Cairo Country Club, Pebble Creek Golf Club and Bobby Jones Golf Club. He also spent some time playing on both the Space Coast and Carolinas Mini Tours.

Stan graduated from Georgia State University in 1977 with a degree in Recreation Administration. While at Georgia State, he played on the Men's Golf Team.

Stan was born in Augusta, GA on August 18, 1950, then moved to College Park, GA in 1962 and attended North Clayton High School.  After graduating high school in 1968, he attended Georgia State University and after one year, entered the US Air Force.  Stan spent the next four years, working as an Air Traffic Controller at RAF Lakenheath in England and Eglin AFB in Florida. Stan also spent 1977 through 1990 working with the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller in Fort Myers, FL, Memphis, TN and at Hartsfield Intl Airport in Atlanta, GA.

Stan also serves as the Men's Golf Coach at Georgia Southwestern and resides in Americus. He is single and  has one daughter, Jennifer, who resides in Waterbury, CT.
