AMERICUS - For the first 87 minutes of Saturday's non-conference men's soccer match between Georgia Southwestern and Alabama-Huntsville there was no score. Ragnar Leosson made sure there was no overtime. The sophomore midfielder from UAH scored two goals in the final 2:28 to give the Chargers a victory at Hurricane Field.

Leosson led UAH to its first win of the season as the Chargers improved to 1-6. GSW drops to 1-6-1 overall.

Leosson broke the stalemate at the 87:32 mark when he took a pass from Kyle Simmons at the left corner of the box and drilled a shot low to the far post for his third goal of the season.

It didn't take long for Leosson to put the game out of reach when he lobbed a shot from 40 yards out, 61 seconds later, to the top left corner of the goal over the outstretched arms of GSW goalkeeper Ryan Tucker.

While the Hurricanes held the advantage in shots in the first half, 7-4, the second half belonged to UAH. The Chargers struck 13 shots to GSW's one over the final 45 minutes.

The two sides were deadlocked on shots on goal for the match at 4-4.

UAH held an 8-6 advantage in corner kicks while committing four more fouls than GSW, 12-8.

Tucker stopped two shots for GSW. Kel Markert saved four for UAH.

The Hurricanes return to Peach Belt Conference action on Wednesday when they travel to Flagler for a 7:30 p.m. match.
