Saints Score Early & Late To Defeat GSW

AMERICUS - The Georgia Southwestern men's soccer team surrendered a goal to Flagler less than two minutes into Wednesday's match, then played even with the Saints the following 78 minutes before allowing two late scores in a 3-0 loss at Hurricane Field.

Zach Shanahan was the Hurricane killer as he had a role in all three goals. Shanahan fed a charging Triston Hall for the first Flagler score before taking matters into his own hands for the two insurance goals. Shanahan scored at the 79:54 mark and punched in a quick feed from Liam O'Brien less than a minute later.

Flagler (3-3-2, 1-2-1 PBC) finished with a 16-1 shots on goal advantage and an 8-2 margin in corner kicks.

Joe Cullip saved 10 between the pipes for GSW. Camp Bissell stopped one for Flagler.

Southwestern (2-5-1, 0-3 PBC) returns to the pitch on Saturday for a 7:30 p.m. match at USC Aiken.
