The GSW men's soccer team saw its season come to a close Saturday afternoon with a 5-0 Peach Belt Conference loss against the University of North Georgia at the UNG Soccer Complex.
It took more than 34 minutes, but the nationally-ranked Clayton State offense broke through for a score and went on to hand the GSW men's soccer team a 2-0 loss Saturday evening at Hurricane Field in the Peach Belt Conference opener for both schools. CSU entered the match ranked ninth in total goals (23) and 10th in scoring average (2.88) in NCAA Divsion II.

The six goals matched GSW's second-highest output during the program's NCAA era. The Hurricanes scored eight times last season in a win over Shaw University and posted a 6-1 win over Florida College in 2008.
Shorter University scored a pair of goals over the opening 18 minutes and cruised to a 7-0 win over GSW in non-conference men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon at Ben Brady Field.
Auburn University at Montgomery scored three goals in a span of six minutes midway through the first half and went on to defeat GSW, 4-1, in a non-conference matchup Wednesday evening at the AUM Soccer Complex. Divin Moke provided the Hurricanes with their lone score off an assist from Sean Mckeevar.
A pair of second half goals lifted Faulkner University past the GSW men's soccer team, 2-0, in a non-conference matchup Saturday evening at Hurricane Field. Kellan O'Hara, Bryan Zuniga and Sebastian Da Silva led the Hurricanes with three shots apiece. Oneil Lewis stopped 10 between the pipes for GSW.
