ROME, Ga. -- Shorter University scored a pair of goals over the opening 18 minutes and cruised to a 7-0 win over Georgia Southwestern State University in non-conference men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon at Ben Brady Field.
The Hawks remained undefeated (4-0) this fall while GSW suffered its fourth consecutive defeat and fell to 1-4.
Shorter scored in the fifth, 18th and 37th minutes to take a 3-0 lead into the halftime break.
The Hawks final goal came in the 87th minute. Thallison Alex scored twice to lead Shorter. Zach Wyborn had a pair of assists.
Shorter tallied 10 shots on goal while the Hurricanes were held to one. GSW held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Kellan O'Hara and Sean Mckeevar took two shots apiece for the Hurricanes.
