ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The Georgia Southwestern State University men's soccer team surrendered four goals on Wednesday night at Flagler College en route to a 4-1 Peach Belt Conference defeat.
A highly contested battle the first goal of the match was scored by the Saints 28 minutes into the action where the Saints held on to lead 1-0 at the end of the first half.
The Saints lost the lead in the first four minutes of the second half when Chris Salamatou tied the game on a Jack Malleret assist.
The floodgates opened for the Saints as they scored three consecutive goals which dashed any hopes for a GSW comeback.
GSW will be looking to put the defeat behind them and will return home for the final time this season hosting Lander University (6-4-4, 5-1-2 PBC) on Senior Night Saturday at 7 p.m. from Hurricane Field.
