Men's XC finishes season at Peach Belt Championships

FAIRBURN, Ga. — Daniel Iordanov led the Georgia Southwestern State University men's cross country team at the Peach Belt Conference Championships on Saturday morning. Iordanov, paced the Hurricanes by completing the 8K course at Bouckaert Farm in 30:41.0, to take 60th place.

Luke Daniels crossed the finish line second for GSW on Saturday with a time of 31:27.0, good for 63rd place. Lars Nilsen (31:33.8) finished right behind Daniels in 64th place and Brady Rankin (33:27.1) finished in 72nd. Gavin Guion finished in 33:55.0 and Jarrett Adderton closed out the GSW runners with a time of 37:59.0.

Augusta had the top seven runners in the race giving them the individual and team win and finished with nine of the top 10 runners finishing 38 points ahead of runner-up Flagler College (53). Georgia College (86) took home third place beating out Columbus State (99).

The Hurricanes finished with 246 points, 19 points behind Clayton State. 

Kai Brickey was the runner from Augusta who crossed the finish line first overall with a time of 24:05.5.
