Softball Signed Seven Student-Athletes on National Signing Day

AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern Softball team signed seven incoming freshmen during National Signing Day in November to join the squad next fall.

Bailey Christian is an outfielder from Jackson, Ga., who attends Jackson High School. From 2016-18, she's been named to both the First Team All-Region Team and the All-Region Academic List. Christian was named Offensive Most Valuable Player in 2016 and 2018 while also making the 2018 All-State Team. She's currently on track to being named to the Principal's List for a fourth consecutive year. Christian recently played for Georgia Firecracker (Rubio). 

Hannah Holloway is a right handed pitcher from Pine Island, Fla., who attends Mariner High School. Holloway has earned the Female Athlete of the Year and Most Valuable Player twice in her career while also winning the Individual Athlete of the Year Award. She's also won First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Region, First Team All-State and she's also won a Team Defensive Award. Holloway broke several school records such as: batting average (.568), hits in a season (50), triples in a season (6), wins in a season (19) and strikeouts in a season (280). She recently played for the Sante Fe Inferno. 

Grayson James is an infielder from Flinstone, Ga., who attends Ridgeland High School. In 2016-17, James was a part of a team that was GHSA 6AAAA Region Champs as they also placed fifth in state. She's been named Honorable Mention every year in high school along with winning Athlete of the Month and Scholar Athlete of the Week honors. James is a part of the National Honor Society and she has a Georgia Certificate of Merit. She recently played for the East Cobb Bullets.

Elli Lucas is an infielder from Winter Garden, Fla., who attends Weat Orange High School. Lucas has been named to the National Honor Society, Honor Roll and she's also a House Leader who has 50 overall home runs. She recently played for the Atlanta Vipers (Lucas). 

Chelsea McGruff is an outfielder from Toney, Ala., who attends Madison Academy. McGruff has earned Honorable Mention accolades for both the All-Region North Alabama team and the All State Team. She recently played for Tigers Elite. 

Kimberly Singer is a catcher from Safety Harbor, Fla., who attends Palm Harbor University High School. Singer has earned accolades such as First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Area, Second Team All-State and has also been named to the National Honor Society. Singer recently played for the Clearwater Lady Bombers.
