COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern softball lost its third consecutive game as they were defeated by Peach Belt Conference rival 24th-ranked Columbus State, 5-0, on Tuesday afternoon.
Columbus State scored in the second inning on an RBI single. The Cougars scored again in the fourth inning on a solo home run.
CSU added three runs in the fifth inning to close out the game and claim the 5-0 victory.
GSW could not get the bats going only getting one hit of the Cougars the hit was a double from Ashlyn Rogers.
Usually consistent pitcher Savanna Bradford struggled over six innings giving up five hits and four earned runs falling to 13-5 on the season.
The Canes look to rebound as they stay in Columbus for a midweek doubleheader against the Cougars at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
