Pembroke, N.C. – The Georgia Southwestern women's soccer team opened the road portion of its Peach Belt Conference season Saturday afternoon on the campus of the University of North Carolina Pembroke. The Lady Braves (6-2-1) were partaking in their fourth PBC game, and they would be the aggressor in the day's match.

UNC Pembroke would score again just three minutes later when Fanny Forsman would bury a penalty kick past a diving Amber Bahri. The Lady Braves' third goal of the half would come in the 32nd minute when Cassie DeQueiroz would return the favor with an assist of her own to teammate Andrea Collen. Pembroke would take the 3-0 lead into the half.

The Blue & Gold were given a chance to get on the board in the opening two minutes of the second half when a Lady Brave defender had a handball in the box. However, Carolann Simpson would miss the penalty kick wide right.

UNC Pembroke would tally their fourth goal of the game in the 51st minute when junior Andrea Colon would score her second goal of the game. Colon would register the hat trick in the 65th minute with a header from the left edge of the box. The Lady Braves would tack on an additional goal late in the game on the way to the 6-0 victory.
