AMERICUS - Lauren Cate scored a goal in each half to lead Flagler College to a 2-0 victory over Georgia Southwestern in Peach Belt Conference women's soccer action on Wednesday afternoon at Hurricane Field.

Cate scored in the 31st and and 57th minutes. Both goals were unassisted.

Flagler (8-7-1, 4-4-1 PBC) finished with a 10-2 advantage in shots on goal and a 13-1 edge in corner kicks.

Ally Canganelli took both shots on goal for GSW (3-14, 0-9 PBC).

Amber Bahri and Jordyn Birchett saved four shots apiece for the Lady 'Canes. Birchett kept Flagler scoreless in her 28 minutes on the pitch.

The Blue & Gold (3-14, 0-9 PBC) finish the 2011 season at home on Saturday against Montevallo at 1 p.m.
