AMERICUS - Katie Cooper delivered the knockout kick in the 92nd minute to give Coker College a 1-0 overtime win over the Georgia Southwestern women's soccer team on Thursday afternoon at Hurricane Field.

The visiting Cobras controlled the pace and possession battle most of the first half but GSW goalkeeper Vanna Lucke denied six shots and kept the match scoreless heading into the halftime break.

After being held to one shot on goal in the opening 45 minutes, GSW closed the gap and trailed 8-5 in attempts in the second half. Both sides had opportunities to get on the board but were unable to convert.

Mallory Hawkes led the Lady Hurricanes offense with four shots on goal, three coming in the second half.

Overall, Coker (1-4) finished with a 15-6 shots on goal advantage and 5-1 margin in corner kicks.

Lucke saved 14 in goal for GSW. Lizz Morris stopped six for Coker.

Southwestern (0-5) returns to the pitch on Saturday to host Lander University at 1 p.m.
