Women's Soccer Suffers a 7-0 Loss to the Grizzlies

Lawerenceville, Ga. - The GSW women's soccer team traveled to Georgia Gwinnett on Saturday afteroon.

The Lady Hurricanes were able to hold of the Grizzlies until the 11th minute when Jocelyn Baker found the back of the net.

Shortly after, the next goal was by Amanda Dale off a pass from Kelsey Griswold. In the 22nd minute, Nikki Lefevre found a pass to Mary Vernetti to score the third goal. To finish off the half, Blake Dispigna found the back of the net for the Grizzlies with less than nine minutes to go.

The scoring continued for the Grizzlies in the second half. Vernetti was able to get a pass through to Lefevre to score the fifth goal of the game. About three minutes later Bethany Johnson was able to find the back of the net. The final goal came in the 64th minute by the team.

GSW recorded a total of 6 saves on the day compared to the Grizzlies 1.

The Lady Hurricanes will be back at home on Wednesday Oct 2nd to play Flagler College at 1 p.m.
