Colleen Livings Scores Her 2nd Collegiate Career Goal

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL- The Georgia Southwestern women's soccer team took on Flagler College Wednesday night for their third conference game of the season. Sophomore Colleen Livings scored GSW's only goal of the game making it her second goal of not only the season but of her collegiate career as well.

Flagler took an early lead in the game scoring their first goal at the 1:17 mark. The Lady Canes tried to take control of the game with a shot by Shelbi Walker and Livings but both were saved. After multiple high and wide shots, Flagler was able to put a second goal past GSW's defense at the 23:51 mark. Freshmen Emily Jones was able to keep another shot from going in before she was substituted out for Chelsee Wright. With eight minutes left Flager was able to socre their third goal of the game with a pass from the right across to the left and got it inside the left post.

The Lady Canes started off the second half with a few shots on net by Livings and Bri Reda. Wright was able to make four saves in the first fifteen minutes before a header from the left corner went in at the 62:19 mark. Less than one minute later Flagler scored again from inside the top of the box making the score 5-0.

Livings attempted another shot on goal which was saved and forty seconds later she finally got one in the net over the goalies reach giving the Lady Canes their first and only goal of the game.

Flagler came back and scored the last goal of the game at the 83:08 mark making the final score 6-1.

GSW had 5 shots on goal, 3 of which were from Livings and Flagler had 12. Wright recorded 5 saves and Jones had 1 giving GSW 6 saves compared to Flagler's 4.

The Lady Canes are home this Saturday October 4 to take on USC Aiken at 1:00PM at Hurricane Field for their Pink Game.
