AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern women's soccer team has finalized their 2019 schedule with 18 games. 10 of them, including the season opener, will be played at Hurricane Field. Under third-year head coach Enrique Rodriguez, the Lady Canes are looking forward to keeping a winning mentality both on and off the field.

GSW will begin their season on a Thursday evening when Brewton-Parker comes to town for the first time in eight years on Sept. 5. The Lady Canes then hit the road on Sept. 10 to play Middle Georgia State before returning back to Americus for a pair of home evening games against Spring Hill College and Southern Wesleyan, Sept. 14 and 18.

On Sept. 21, Shorter will play host to GSW but they will return home for their final home game of September to take on Talladega College Sept. 25. GSW closes out their September slate with their first Peach Belt Conference game against newcomers, Albany State, on Sept. 28. 

The Hurricanes will open October with a pair of back-to-back home PBC evening games against Clayton State and Georgia College on Oct. 2 and 5. They will then hit the road to take on North Georgia Oct. 9 and Francis Marion Oct. 12 before returning back for their final non-conference game against Emmanuel (Ga.) on Oct. 16. 

GSW invites Young Harris and Flagler College to town on Oct. 19 and 23 but will hit the road on Oct. 26 to take on UNC Pembroke. The 2018 PBC Champions Columbus State will come to town on Oct. 30 to close out their October slate. The Lady Canes caps their schedule in South Carolina with weekend afternoon games against USC Aiken and Lander on Nov. 2 and 9. 

The Lady Canes returns 14 players, which includes six seniors. They have six incoming freshman who signed to play during this offseason with the addition of two transfers student-athletes for a final roster of 22 heading into the season.
