AMERICUS, Ga. -- After a tight and close fought first half, the Georgia Southwestern women's soccer team surrendered two second-half goals as they fell, 3-0, to Peach Belt Conference foe Georgia College Saturday evening on Hurricane Field.

Payton Johnson led the way for the Lady Hurricanes with three shots, along with the only shot on goal this evening. Geraldine Alvarez ended the day with two shots while four other players had one shot. GSW was outshot, 30-9, by Georgia College.

In the first half, GC's Cassie Balzano put her team up 1-0 in the 42nd minute when she received a pass across the field from her teammate, as she sent it into the far left corner for the lead going into halftime. Balzano ended the day with a hat trick, scoring all three goals as she led Georgia College (2-5-2, 1-1-1 PBC) to their first PBC win of the season.

Hannah Morrone picked up eight saves for GSW (3-5-1, 0-3-0 PBC) tonight. Both teams ended with eight fouls each but the Bobcats took a 10-3 advantage in corner kicks.
