The Georgia Southwestern women's tennis team has won three of its last four matches heading into Saturday's contest at No. 16 Georgia College. After blanking Albany State, 9-0, on Mar. 13, the Lady Hurricanes won at Clark Atlanta, 6-3 and at home against UNC Pembroke, 5-4, before suffering a 9-0 defeat at the hands of No. 25 Francis Marion.
The win against UNCP marks the first time the program has defeated a Peach Belt Conference opponent in consecutive seasons.

GSW 6, Clark Atlanta 3
The Lady Hurricanes defeated the Panthers, 6-3, on Thursday afternoon (Mar. 15) in Atlanta.
GSW improved its record to 5-7 thanks to a solid start in doubles action against Clark Atlanta. GSW swept doubles play, led by Mollie McGowan and Victoria Ondo's 8-1 victory at No. 2, and took a 3-0 team lead into singles.
McGowan and Ondo were victorious on the singles side as well. McGowan won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 over Vanessa Jean Baptiste and Ondo did not drop a game in her No. 4 match against Kasey Dawson.
Clark Atlanta fell to 3-7 this spring.

GSW 5, UNC Pembroke 4
For the second-straight season, GSW handed UNC Pembroke a 5-4 defeat. The Lady 'Canes were victorious on Saturday morning (Mar. 17) at the Susan K. Smith Tennis Complex.
It was the third-straight win for GSW as the Lady 'Canes improved to 6-7 overall and 2-4 in Peach Belt Conference play. UNC Pembroke dipped to 8-8 overall and 0-5 in the PBC. GSW matched its program best for conference wins in a season with the victory, matching last year's total.
Once again, the Lady 'Canes benefited from strong doubles play. GSW swept UNCP and took a 3-0 lead into the singles matches.
Victory Ondo and Ginny Jones won both of their matches for GSW.
Ondo paired with Mollie McGowan for an 8-3 victory over Leigh-Anne McAfee and Hannah Herlocker at No. 2 doubles. Ondo followed that win with a 6-3, 7-5 victory at No. 4 singles over Shelby Bickel.
Jones teamed with Carly Cangelosi for an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles, then proceeded to defeat Madeline DiNunzio at No. 5 singles, 7-6 (7-2), 6-2.

GSW's three-match winning streak came to a halt after a 9-0 loss to 25th-ranked Francis Marion on Sunday morning (Mar. 18) at the Susan K. Smith Tennis Complex.
The Lady Hurricanes best opportunity for a point against FMU came at No. 3 doubles where Kalie Douberly and Melinda Vansant were defeated 8-5 by Kerry Hall and Caitlin Siney.
Southwestern drops to 6-8 overall and 2-5 in the PBC, while FMU improves to 9-1 and 5-1 in PBC play.
