Tennis Drops Two At USC Aiken

AIKEN, S.C.- Georgia Southwestern women's and men's tennis teams suffered losses against USC Aiken on Saturday afternoon at USC Aiken Tennis Complex.

The GSW women lost 9-0 and slip to 3-4 overall this spring, 0-1 in the Peach Belt Conference, while the men's team lost 8-1 and drop to 2-6, 0-1 in the PBC.

Sydnee Smith and Anneliese Leahy put up a strong effort in their 8-5 loss in No. 1 doubles.

Jonathan Martin picked up the Hurricanes lone victory of the day with a win at No. 5 singles, 7-6, 2-6, 1-0 (10-8) over Jaime Gusano.

GSW completes its South Carolina swing on Sunday with a 1 p.m. match in Greenwood against Lander University.
