AMERICUS - The Georgia Southwestern women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to the University of Montevallo on Saturday afternoon at the Susan K. Smith Tennis Complex.
The Lady Hurricanes fall to 3-6 overall, 0-3 in the Peach Belt Conference while Montevallo improved to 5-2, 1-2 in PBC play.
The GSW doubles team of Lauren Resnick and Jamie Thomas picked up a win at No. 3, over the Montevallo pair of Allie Whitley and Melanie Whitley, 8-3.
Celia del Castillo Torres improved her singles record to 5-4 this spring for GSW with a 6-4, 0-6, 1-0 (10-5) victory at No. 4 singles over Julia Berg.
Southwestern returns to the courts on Sunday to host Clayton State at 2 p.m.
