Hayes Gets First Collegiate Win; GSW Tops Albany State Behind Barron BlastApril 26, 2017Zach Barron delivered a two-run home run in the eighth inning to halt an Albany State University comeback and propel GSW to a 7-4 win Tuesday evening at the ASU Baseball Complex. Freshman A.J. Hayes (1-1) picked up the first win of his collegiate career with two innings on the hill.

Hurricanes Win Series Opener At No. 22 Georgia College, Await Postseaon FateApril 22, 2017GSW jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the second inning on Friday evening at John Kurtz Field and held on late to upend No. 22 Georgia College, 7-5, in Game 1 of their Peach Belt weekend baseball series. The Bobcats defended their home turf on Saturday, handing GSW a pair of losses to close out the weekend. The Hurricanes finished 10-14 in the Peach Belt, in a tie for eighth place, and must wait until Sunday for confirmation of their postseason conference tournament bid. For GSW, picking up even one road win against the 22nd-ranked team in the country was impressive as it was only the third loss Georgia Collgege suffered at home in 24 games this season.

A Will To WinApril 14, 2017The Hurricanes rallied from four runs down in the seventh to force an extra inning and then topped Armstrong State University's two runs in the 10th with a walk-off infield single from Zach Barron to win the opening game of the Peach Belt Conference series, 11-10, on Friday evening at Hurricane Stadium. Will Redding turned in a 3-for-5 performance at the plate, along with Alex Kranick and Jonathan Martin.

Francis Marion scored five runs in the ninth inning of Game 2 to salvage a win in the series, 12-8.

Hurricanes Storm Back To Win Series At AugustaMarch 05, 2017The GSW baseball team lost its Peach Belt series opener at Augusta University on Friday evening, 10-5, before storming back on Saturday with a doubleheader sweep of the Jaguars, 8-5 and 4-0, to win the three-game set at Lake Olmstead Stadium. Evan Alderman led GSW batters with a .462 average over the series and Dylan Brown turned in a stellar performance in the finale, taking a no-hitter into the seventh inning.
