Canes Lose In Overtime at North Georgia

Dahlonega, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern State University lost on a late missed 3-pointer as North Georgia defeated GSW, 77-75, in the Convocation Center Saturday afternoon.

Phillip Burwell had his second-best scoring output of the season as he scored 20 points and grabbed three rebounds. He was one of two players who scored in double digits, joining Brian Tolefree who scored 13 points and grabbed four boards.

Georgia Southwestern dropped to 10-11 on the season and 3-9 in Peach Belt Conference play.

Georgia Southwestern will continue their road trip as they take on Flagler College (11-12, 5-7 PBC) for the second half of their two-game season series. The Hurricanes lost to the first meeting 83-72 in the Storm Dome. The teams will tip off at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
