COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern men's golfer Vincent Norrman placed third in individuals to end the AFLAC/Cougar Invitational. In today's third round, Norrman shot his best, going 5-under par 66, landing a score of 207 (70-71-66) to secure his top-5 finish out of 89 players. GSW finished 10th of 17 teams who competed in the invitational held at the Country Club of Columbus. 

The Hurricanes placed scores of (288-289-290), going 15 over par with a total score of 867 that landed them in the top-10. Carson-Newman won the tournament with a total score of 843, followed by Florida Southern (846), Valdosta State, (849) Florida Tech (851) and Lee University (862). 

Ryan Cahill shot 1-over par 72 (214) in the third round which placed him in a tie for 24th place. Wil Hernandez finished round three going 3-over par 74 (227) for a tied 66th place while Tyler Barker tied for 71st place with a 228. Cole Madison finished 77th with a score of 230. 

Norrman was joined by individual's winner Sam Broadhurst (206). Brady Carman (206), Jake Headrick (208) and Michael VanDerLaan (208) all finished top-5. 

GSW Golf competes in NCAA Division II Preview Oct. 1-2, which will be played at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, W.Va.
