ALBANY, Ga. -- Standing in first place, the No. 1 Georgia Southwestern men's golf team carded round-low scores of 279 and 276 for a 21-under 555 total score to end day one of the Hurricane Invitational, hosted at the Par 72, 7,024 yard Doublegate Country Club Course in Albany, Ga. 

Vincent Norrman, who won the individual title last year, sits in first place after shooting rounds of 70 and a tournament-low 66 for an eight-under 136 score. Simon Estrada sits one stroke out in third place after shooting rounds of 69 and 68 for a seven-under 137 total score. Chase McLain carded two rounds of 70 as he sits tied for eighth place while Saksit Jairak carded rounds of 70 and 72 for a 142 (-2) total score. Cole Madison sits tied in 38th place with a three-over 147 score while Elias Birkeland, who's participating as an individual, finished tied for 34th place with a two-over 146 score. 

Peach Belt Conference partner Clayton State sits six strokes shy of GSW to end day one after shooting a 15-under 561 while No. 15 Delta State carded a 12-under 564 and is in third place. No. 31 Lander, seven-under 569 followed by North Greenville, four-under 572 rounds out the top five to end day one of the Hurricane Invitational. 

Zach Zediker of Delta State sits tied in first place after shooting two rounds of 68 for an eight-under 136 followed by Augusto Oliva from Clayton State, who sits tied for third with rounds of 69 and 68 (137). Belmont-Abbey's Connor Fahey takes the fifth spot to end day one after shooting two rounds of 69 for a six-under 138 total score. 

GSW will tee off for Round 3 of the Hurricane Invitational on Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m.
