CAMDEN, S.C. -- Saksit Jairak and Chase McLain led the Georgia Southwestern men's golf team during day one of the Camden Collegiate as they both ended the day tied in seventh place, carding a 142 (+2).
Playing as individuals, Jairak opened up with a 70 and carded a 72 during round 2 as McLain scored a 72 followed by a 70 to end day one. Payne Sells, who played in his first collegiate golf tournament, finished the day tied in 54th place after carding rounds of 81 and 74 for a 155 (+15) score.
USC Aiken's Bjorn Rosengren leads the way after shooting a tournament-low 63 for a 135 (-5) card. Aiken's Leo Johansson and Paul Murphy from Montevallo are both tied for second place with a 137 (-3) card followed by Flagler's Nic Whittaker and Valentin Peugnet from Young Harris, who finished with scores of 139 (-1) and 140 (E), respectively.
USC Aiken leads the way, carding a team score of 564 (+4) followed by Lee and Lander University, who are tied in second place with a 577 (+17) card. Valdosta St. 578 (+18) and Young Harris 580 (+20) rounds out the top 5 teams.
The Hurricanes will tee off for Round 3 of the Camden Collegiate at 8:30 a.m.
