CAMDEN, S.C. - The Georgia Southwestern men's golf team finished with two players finish in the top 10 as Saksit Jairak's final score of 213 (+3) gave him a fifth place finish followed by Chase McLain, who finished tied in 10th place with a final score of 216 (+6) to end the Camden Collegiate.
Freshman Payne Sells shot a 74 to finish his first collegiate golf tournament in 53rd place with a final score of 229 (+19), picking up two birdies throughout the tournament. Jairak shot a 71 going into round 3 as he finished the day with one eagle and eight birdies. McLain, who had nine birdies, ended the day with a 74 in the final round.
USC Aiken won the tournament with an 856 (+16) final score, as they also took home the individual title with Bjorn Rosengren carding a final score of 207 (-3).
After a short break, the Hurricanes will compete in the 7th annual UNG Fall Invitational played at Chattahoochee Golf Club, October 26-27.
