ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The Georgia Southwestern men's golf team carded a round one score of 286 (-2) as they sit in seventh place to end round 1 of the Spring Kick-Off Intercollegiate. Due to inclement weather, play was suspended midway through the second round at the Par 72, 7,136 yard course at St. Johns Golf and Country Club in St. Augustine, Fla.
Saksit Jairak led the way for the Hurricanes as he sits tied in seventh place with a two-under 91 card. Chase McLain and Payne Sells are tied in 17th place with a 94(-3) and 93(-2) card, respectively. Simon Estrada holds a par 94 while sitting tied in 27th place as Jaxson Daskalos, who's playing in his first tournament, cards a two-under 96 and holds 33rd place.
No. 2 Lincoln Memorial sits atop the boards with a 275 (-13) card followed by No. 9 West Florida, who carded 277 (-11). Lander and No. 21 Limestone are both tied for third place with a five-under 283 card while No. 23 Anderson (S.C.) rounds out the top five with a four-under 284 card.
The teams will pick up tomorrow morning where they left off and continue into the third and final round.
