EATONTON, Ga. -- No. 8 Georgia Southwestern men's golf team carded a total score of 17-over 857 for a third place finish at the Bobcat Invitational. The Hurricanes turned in a Round 3 best 284 at the par 70, 6,730 yard Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee course in Eatonton, Ga.

Hurricanes 17-over and third place finish is the team's best while playing in the Bobcat Invitational. 

Saksit Jairak turned in a sixth place finish with a total score of 210 after shooting rounds of 68, 73 and 69. Simon Estrada finished five over with rounds of 73, 70 and 72 for 215 total score to finish tied in 15th place. Tied in 27th place is Chase McLain with rounds of 81, 71 and 67 for a nine-over 219 total score followed by Nicolas Escobar and Jack Tharrington, who both finished tied in 37th place shooting 12-over 222. 

Estrada had the lone eagle for GSW along with 12 birdies. Jairak also finished with 12 birdies and McLain finished with nine. 

Tobias Jonsson of Young Harris led the pack, placing first in individuals with a six-under 204. Harry Lord of Lincoln Memorial finished second shooting four-under 206 followed by Alex Wells of Georgia College, who carded a two-under 208. Lander's Maxime Legros and Colin Kresl of Saint Leo both finished tied in fourth place with a one-under 209 total score. 

Hosts No. 18 Georgia College were crowned tournament champions after carding a seven-over 847. No. 1 USC Aiken carded an eight-over 848 for second place followed by third place No 8 GSW. No. 6 Saint Leo sits in fourth with a 21-over 861 while No. 16 Young Harris closes out the top five teams with a 22-over 862 total card.

The Hurricanes return to action March 29-30 as they compete in the Aflac/Cougar Invitational at the Green Island Country Club in Columbus, Ga.
