Hurricanes Deliver on Historic Night

AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern State University men's soccer team picked up its first win of the season after two late scores pushed the Hurricanes past Brewton-Parker College,  2-0, on Wednesday in the first night match at Hurricane Field in program history.

The school-record 611 fans in attendance watched Caleb Zolman run down a pass along the left side from Chris Avery five minutes later and take it in for the score, the first of his collegiate career.

The Hurricanes improved their record to 1-1-1 this season while Brewton-Parker dropped to 2-2. In a back-and-forth series between the two schools, GSW regains the advantage, 5-4-1, since joining the NCAA in 2006.
