Sells Leads GSW at Bobcat Invitational

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Peyton Sells led the Georgia Southwestern State University men's cross country team on Saturday morning with a time of 34:30 at the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Georgia College. Sells paced the Hurricanes by completing the Council Farm Course (8K) in 75th place out of 93 competitors. GSW finished 13th out of the 13 participating schools.

Gavin Shook crossed the finish line second for GSW with a time of 35:19, two slots behind Sells. Kyle Dillard was the third GSW runner across the line in 38:37. Casen Findley finished four spots behind Dillard at 42:07. James Arnold shaved more than three minutes off his personal best to come in 89th.

Columbus State University placed six runners in the top 13 to finish with 37 points and distance itself from runner-up Georgia College (57) for the team title. 

Solomon Komen from the University of West Georgia crossed the finish line first overall with a time of 25:07.

The Hurricanes return to action Saturday, when they travel to Mount Berry, Ga., for the Berry Invitational (8K) hosted by Berry College.
