AMERICUS - Georgia Southwestern (17-17, 2-8 PBC) proved to be no match for the Flagler Saints (21-9, 3-3 PBC) Saturday afternoon as the Saints used a strong offensive performance, scoring 21 runs on the day, to sweep the Lady Hurricanes.

Game 1: Flagler 13, GSW 0 (5 innings)

Flagler was quick to demonstrate their dominance as the Saints used a pair of home runs to score 13 runs off 13 hits on their way to the easy victory.

On the other side, the Lady 'Cane bats fell silent as GSW could only muster a pair of hits in the contest on their way to their third shutout loss of the season.

GSW's starting pitcher Allison Pastor (7-6) was credited with the loss as the junior pitched for 3.1 innings, giving up 11 runs off eight hits.

Flagler's Kalyn Loverich (10-5) had a dominant performance on the mound. The junior threw a complete game only giving up a pair of hits off six hits.

Game 2: Flagler 8, GSW 1

Flagler remained dominant in the second game of the doubleheader as the Saints jumped out to an early 6-0 advantage through the first four innings.

GSW lit up the scoreboard for the only time when Kiley Doster had a RBI double to score Ashley Clifton.

Flagler answered with two more runs in their half of the fifth inning and GSW continued to be shut out the rest of the way as the Saints prevailed, 8-1, to sweep the doubleheader.

Kiley Doster's two-hit, one RBI performance paced GSW who accounted for seven hits on the contest.

Starting GSW pitcher Ashley Cavender (5-6) threw for four innings, giving up eight runs off eight hits.

GSW will be back in action this Tuesday, March 19, as the Lady Hurricanes complete their six-game home stand by hosting King College (Tenn.) in doubleheader action starting at 5 p.m.
