DAHLONEGA, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern State University softball player Hayley Tierce has been named First Team All-Conference as a utility player by a vote of the league's coaches announced at the tournament banquet Thursday.
Tierce, a junior from Warner Robins, Ga., is the all-time home run leader for the Lady Canes and leads the Peach Belt with 14 on the season. Tierce started all 51 games and leads GSW with a .323 batting average to go along with 47 runs batted in. She shared First Team Utility Player recognition with Hannah Price of USC Aiken.
Tierce hit three grand slam home runs this spring. She tallied five games with four runs batted in while posting three RBIs in five different games for the Lady Canes who earned the No. 8 seed in the conference tournament set to begin Friday.
