North Georgia Scores In the Final Seconds in Win Over the Canes

DAHLONEGA, Ga.– The 10th-ranked Georgia Southwestern State University women's basketball has a two-game losing streak with a 73-72 loss to North Georgia at the Convocation Center Saturday afternoon.

Jacquelyn Levay with two free throws extended the lead for GSW at 72-64 with 3:43 left in the fourth quarter the Nighthawks began their comeback and took the lead with 10 seconds left and the canes turned the ball over in the final four seconds of the game.

Jacquelyn LevayAva Jones, and Jaleah Storr tied for scoring team-high 16 points. Levay shot 55 percent from the field and grabbed four rebounds. Jones was awarded a double-double with 12 rebounds as she shot 50 percent from the field. Storr shot 55 percent from the field as well as being a contributor defensively adding a steal and two rebounds.
