DAHLONEGA, Ga. -- In a tough defensive battle, the Georgia Southwestern women's soccer team held No. 20 University of North Georgia scoreless throughout the first 45 minutes of the match. Unfortunately, UNG erupted with 16 second-half shots en route to a 3-0 Peach Belt Conference win on Wednesday night at the UNG Soccer Complex. 

The Hurricanes took a total of three shots on the night, with shots on goal led by Alisa Barr and Leila Hamed. Payton Johnson picked up a shot as well but it was sent far left. 

The Nighthawks capped the win with 25 shots, as eight of them fell on goal. They were led by Jazmin Adlam, who ended the night with five shots and one assist. Eight minutes into the second half, Katey Derkay put UNG (8-1, 5-0 PBC) on the board for their first goal of the game. Her teammates followed suite, scoring four minutes apart in the 78th and 82nd minute to stay undefeated in PBC play. 

GSW (3-6-1, 0-4-0 PBC) failed to get a corner kick tonight as UNG controlled the game, finishing with 12 corner kicks. Hannah Morrone ended the night with five saves compared to UNG's two.
