Lady Hurricanes Earn 0-0 Draw at USC Aiken

AIKEN, S.C. -- Hannah Morrone finished the day with five saves throughout 110 minutes of work as the Georgia Southwestern women's soccer team finished with a 0-0 draw against USC Aiken Saturday evening in a Peach Belt Conference match at the Pacer Pit. 

It was the Lady Hurricanes first PBC draw since 2013, when they played to a 0-0 draw against Flagler College. GSW first draw in the NCAA Division II era was against USC Aiken in 2008, when they finished with a 1-1 draw. 

The Lady Hurricanes outshot the Pacers, 14-10, as both teams finished with four shots each between the two overtimes. GSW (3-11-2, 0-8-1) was led by Payton Johnson, who took four shots which all landed on goal. Geraldine Alvarez and Alison Rugel, who both played the full 110 minutes, both finished with three shots each as one of them landed on goal for both players also.  

The Pacers was led by Willa Olson and Marianne Ross, who had one shot on goal each as Olson led with three shots followed by Ross, who finished with two. Aiken's (3-11-1, 3-6-1 PBC) Madi Banks picked up eight saves on the night. The Pacers finished with a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
