VALDOSTA, Ga. -- Freshman Allie Brown made the most of her season debut on Saturday as she lead the Georgia Southwestern State University women's cross country team to a sixth place finish out of 14 schools in the first race of the fall, the Border Clash hosted by Valdosta State University. Brown, who finished 28th overall, paced the Lady Hurricanes by completing the 5K course in 21:06.6. Junior Sarah Earley crossed the finish line second for GSW on Saturday with a time of 22:02.6, good for 49th place. Angel Jarvis rounded out GSW's top 3 finishers and took 66th place with a time of 23:17.7. 

Flagler College won the event and had two runners finish in the Top 5 and 5 of the top 8 and earned a cumulative score of 28 points. Flagler edged out Tampa who finished with a cumulative score of 34 points. Tampa University runner Zoe Jarvis finished first in the race with a time of 18:54.3.
