Georgia Southwestern

Marissa Collins was named Co-Head Athletic Trainer for Georgia Southwestern in Fall 2023. Marissa is responsible for the care of the women's basketball, women's soccer, and women's tennis teams.

 

Prior to her time at GSW, Marissa worked for Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina for St. Joseph's Catholic High School as their Head Athletic Trainer. She worked for Encore Rehabilitaion Inc. as a certified Athletic Trainer for multiple different high schools in lower Alabama including Elba High School, Enterprise State Community College, Daleville High School, and Carroll High School.

 

Collins graduated with her Master's in Higher Education Leadership from Mercer University in 2020 where she worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for their women's soccer team and their cheer and dance teams. Prior to grad school, she graduated from Georgia College and State University with her bachelor's in athletic training in 2017.

 

Collins played three years of soccer at Middle Georgia State University and graduated from West Laurens High School in Dublin, Ga.

 

She is married to fellow Co-Head Athletic Trainer Stone Collins.
